This model is stitched on 36 count Light Examplar Linen from Lakeside Linens with Needlepoint Inc silk mostly over two threads of linen.  The verse and name are over one thread of linen.  The design size is 216 stitches wide by 301 stitches high.  The finished size on 36 count fabric is 12 inches by 16.75 inches.  This sampler is done all in cross stitch.

The vivd colors are taken from the back of the original antique sampler.  The verse was written by an American mother to her daughter at school on the East Coast and published between 1832 and 1835.
