Samplers Revisited

Designer Bio

Patty Yergey’s designs run the gamut from Reproduction Schoolgirl Samplers to Coastal and Folk Art Themes.  She grew up near the ocean with a needle in her hand and a fierce love of antiques in her heart.  Although preserving needlework from several centuries and countries started her designing career, Patty realizes that there is room for innovation and fun in every stitcher’s life be they young or old.

Patty’s designs feature easy to read charts, full explanations about stitches and placement, suggested design sizes and supplies, and information about the model pictured on the front.  Antique reproduction sampler designs often have extensive genealogical information included when known.

Patty is currently working on samplers from Delaware and Scotland as well as new beachy designs and more ornaments in the “Santa Visits” series.  This year she will be working on painting needlepoint canvases of her Maryland designs as well as some beachy stuff and the Santa ornaments.

When she is not stitching, knitting or designing, she is probably out beach combing, walking, eating with her husband or friends, or babysitting her grandchildren.
